Question:

286 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will investigate the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10 and ensure that this person is supplied with a wheelchair as soon as possible. [11427/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 276 and 286 together.

The provision of technical aids and appliances to people with physical and sensory disabilities is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's questions have been referred to the chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority, with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
