Vol. 535 No. 1

Written Answers - School Accommodation.

Austin Currie

Question:

631 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to conditions at St. Andrew's primary school, Lucan, County Dublin; if he will arrange for conditions at the school to be inspected with a view to urgent action to remedy the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11717/01]

An application for additional accommodation at St. Andrew's primary school, Lucan, County Dublin, is currently being processed in my Department. A technical assessment of the school will be carried out as part of this process. It is not possible at this point to indicate what the extent of the project will be, or when construction will commence.

The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
