160 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children if the profession of psychotherapy is included in the forthcoming legislation concerning the statutory registration for health and social care professionals; if an organisation (details supplied) will be given a place on the working party which is dealing with this proposed legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Officials of my Department have met the Irish Council for Psychotherapy to discuss this issue. At present, I am considering the case that has been put forward by the council, and I will be in contact with them as quickly as possible.
