Vol. 535 No. 2

Written Answers - Garda Stations.

Denis Foley

Question:

196 Mr. Foley asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the steps being taken to bring Moyvane Garda station, County Kerry, up to a proper standard of accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12449/01]

I have arranged for the installation by the Office of Public Works of portacabin facilities at Moyvane Garda station as a means of addressing the immediate accommodation problems there.

Longer term, I am satisfied the Garda requirements at Moyvane can be met by the provision of a new station. That matter is currently receiving the necessary attention within my Department.
