Vol. 535 No. 3

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Noel Ahern

Question:

118 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will arrange with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and authorities in Beaumont Hospital to examine the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 and give him a date for his operation; and if he will arrange for an out-patients appointment with the head of the team (details supplied) as various appointments to see him have failed and it appears the approval for operation can only be given by him. [12699/01]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons living in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the issue raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
