Vol. 535 No. 4

Written Answers - Medical Cards.

Question:

192 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 will be given a medical card. [12945/01]

The determination of eligibility for medical cards is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board, in this case the South-Western Area Health Board. Accordingly, I have referred the case to him and asked that the matter be investigated and that the reply be sent directly to the Deputy.
