167 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Education and Science if he is in receipt of a report from the planning group proposing a national support service for special education needs for students with disabilities; if so, when he will publish this document; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The report of the planning group has been forwarded to me for consideration.
The proposals brought forward by the planning group have informed the conclusions of Mr. Seán Cromien in his review of my Department's overall operations, systems and structures.
I have put in place a high level task force to advance the implementation of Mr. Cromien's proposals, and I expect to be in a position to bring proposals to Government in relation to this matter shortly.
