248 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide details of the financial support the Government has given to the Fota Wildlife Park, County Cork; the plans he has to assist this project and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14096/01]

An amount of £500,000 was made available by way of a grant to the Zoological Society of Ireland in 1996. The money was used to upgrade existing visitor facilities and to provide some new animal enclosures at Fota Wildlife Park.
