Question:250 Ms Clune asked the Minister for Finance when he will be in a position to purchase a site for a school (details supplied) in County Cork, and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13523/01]

Following an advertisement in the national press on 22 March 2001, several sites were assessed for consideration as potential locations for a new school facility for Ringaskiddy lower harbour national school. The preferred site option is being assessed with Cork County Council in respect of any planning issues that may arise.
Should the site be deemed suitable, my office will proceed to enter into negotiation with the vendor at an early date.
