Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

263 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the action he proposes to take in regard to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13525/01]

The Deputy will appreciate that the scheduling of admissions to hospitals is a matter for the relevant hospital concerned based upon clinical priority. I have asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board, which has responsibility for the provision of hospital services in the case to which the Deputy is referring, to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
