Vol. 536 No. 2

Written Answers - Health Service Provision.

Richard Bruton

Question:

274 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children the average length of stay of patients admitted to long stay units, other than for respite care, distinguishing between health board run, voluntary run and privately run units. [13536/01]

The most recent figures in respect of length of stay in these units relate to 1996 and are set as follows. It is anticipated that more up to date figures will be available later this year. Respite care is included in the analysis, as separate respite figures are not available for extraction.
