The following is the number of persons employed by the Southern Health Board as recorded in the health service personnel census for the years 1990 to 2000. Figures in respect of 31 December 2000 are being compiled. The increase in health board employment levels shown in the table reflects the increased level of investment in the health service over the last ten years. All figures are expressed in whole time equivalents (w.t.e.).
