Vol. 536 No. 5

Written Answers. - Health Services.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

247 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans he has for upgrading and expanding services at the various health centres in north Kildare; his priorities in this regard in view of population trends; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15073/01]

Statutory responsibility for the provision, upgrading and expanding of health services in County Kildare rests, in the first instance, with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the chief executive of that authority to examine the situation from the point of view of the matters contained in the Deputy's question and to respond to the Deputy directly.
