Question:290 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme for Donegal town. [15058/01]
Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
The construction of this scheme has been approved under the water services investment programme 2000-02. I approved the contract documents for sewer construction in central Donegal town on 24 April 2001. The treatment works element of the project is being progressed, together with the treatment works for Ballyshannon and Rossnowlagh, as part of a grouped design, build and operate contract. Contract documents for the grouped project have recently been submitted to my Department and are being examined.
