Vol. 536 No. 5

Written Answers. - Heritage Service.

John McGuinness

Question:

304 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the reason Dúchas is unable to provide information required for a reply to a parliamentary question on the names of its main suppliers; if there is a reason for concern in view of the huge investment by her Department in information technology systems within Dúchas and in view of substantial sums of public money involved; if she is satisfied that Dúchas is keeping proper records; and if she will instruct Dúchas to supply the information requested without further delay. [14642/01]

In view of the detailed issues raised by the Deputy in this and other recent parliamentary questions, I have asked the director of national monuments in Dúchas, my Department's heritage service to contact him with a view to arranging another meeting to discuss personal concerns regarding these issues.
