Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Cancer Incidence.

Bernard Allen

Question:

201 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will undertake a health survey on the incidence of cancer in the Dublin Hill-Ballyvolane area of Cork. [15533/01]

The provision of hospital services and the identification of issues in relation to public health in Cork is the statutory responsibility of the Southern Health Board. I have requested the chief executive officer of the board, Mr. Sean Hurley, to investigate the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
