Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Bernard Allen

Question:

266 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will give details on hospital waiting times and waiting lists, inpatient and out-patient, in each public hospital. [16038/01]

The hospital in-patient waiting times and the numbers on waiting lists as at 31 December 2000, our latest available figures in the format collected by my Department, are being communicated separately to the Deputy. Out-patient waiting list data is not routinely collected by my Department.

Bernard Allen

Question:

267 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the public hospitals which have closed out-patient waiting lists; and the specialities that are closed. [16039/01]

I am not aware of any hospital that has closed its out-patient waiting list, but if the Deputy has information in this regard he can pass it on to my Department and I will have the matter investigated.
