Vol. 537 No. 2

Written Answers. - Architectural Heritage.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

333 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if her attention has been drawn to the rapid deterioration of Connolly's Folly, Maynooth, County Kildare; if she intends to put in place any measures to arrest the erosion of the structure; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [16050/01]

There is no evidence to substantiate the suggestion made by the Deputy in his parliamentary question. The position remains unchanged from that outlined in my response to the Deputy's most recent Parliamentary Question No. 193 dated 11 April 2001 on this issue.
