335 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the proposed building project at a Garda station (details supplied) in County Cavan will commence; the schedule of works to be undertaken; the level of funding to be provided for this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that there are no plans at present for a major building project at the Garda station in question. Approval was issued to the Office of Public Works on 1 February for refurbishment works to the cell area and the Office of Public Works is currently seeking a contractor to complete this work.
