The Office of Public Works is actively developing an energy conservation programme for its property portfolio. This includes design and building standards, collation of information of data on energy consumption in a range of larger buildings and the installation of combined heat and power systems in selected premises. The systems installed allow for the active monitoring and management, particularly of heating costs. The Office of Public Works will continue to expand its energy conservation measures.
