Question:

72 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands if she will make finance available for the development of a coal mining museum and associated heritage facilities at Castlecomer, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14557/01]

No application for funding has been made to my Department in respect of this project. Funding for cultural projects, apart from the ACCESS programme, in my Department is earmarked primarily for use by the national cultural institutions and my Department does not have any discretionary funding available to assist with this particular project.
