88 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if, in regard to his press statement of 15 December 2000, he will indicate when the Government intends to publish specific proposals to limit contributions to candidates and political parties; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A number of amendments to the Electoral (Amendment) Bill, 2000, in relation to electronic voting and counting and other technical matters were published on 29 May 2001. Further amendments to the Bill on donations to political parties will be published shortly.
