Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Naughten – the need for the Minister for Education and Science to ensure that the Abbey National School in Roscommon town retains its current compliment of teaching staff in light of its disadvantaged status; (2) Deputy Sargent – the need for an air-traffic curfew and noise abatement measures at Dublin Airport and the need to decentralise airport development; (3) Deputy Connaughton – the controls to be put in place in view of the reopening livestock marts on 18 June; (4) Deputy McGuinness – the urgent need for the Government to review and modify the road construction programme in the south east under the terms of the national development plan; (5) Deputy McCormack – the matter of the regulations governing the payment of rent allowance by health boards to tenants of rented accommodation; (6) Deputy Brendan Smith – the discrimination against a member of the Garda Síochána in the assignment of duties bearing in mind the submission of medical evidence to the Garda; (7) Deputy Roche – the disruption of the leaving certificate examination at St. Laurence's College, Loughlinstown, County Dublin.

The matters raised by Deputies Naughten, Roche, Sargent and Connaughton have been selected for discussion.
