Question:

335 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for Health and Children the progress which has been made in relation to the appointment of a project team to the development of the district hospital, Dungarvan, County Waterford, since his reply to parliamentary Question No. 138 of 11 April 2001; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16840/01]

As the Deputy is aware, my Department has received an application from the South Eastern Health Board to appointment a project team to the development at the district hospital, Dungarvan. This proposal is under consideration and continues to be the subject of discussions between the board and my Department in the context of prioritising and progressing a number of capital projects for the board's area under the national development plan.
