606 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent of recent developments regarding the provision of permanent facilities required at Scoil Uí Riada, Kilcock, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17308/01]

Gaelscoil Uí Riada is currently accommodated in the former Christian Brothers Monastery in Kilcock and it will remain in this location until a new building on an alternative site has been provided.

While architectural planning has been initiated, it is not possible at this early stage to say when construction will commence until the site issue has been resolved and architectural planning has been completed.

607 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the recent developments regarding the provision of permanent facilities at Scoil Uí Fhiach, Maynooth, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17309/01]

The project to provide temporary accommodation for Scoil Uí Fhiach, Maynooth is currently at an advanced stage.

The provision of permanent accommodation is dependent on the acquisition of a site. It is not possible at this point to give any indication as to the timetable for acquiring a site.

608 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the most recent developments regarding the provision of extra facilities required at Maynooth post-primary school, Maynooth, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17310/01]

The chief executive officer of County Kildare VEC has been informed that the design team working on this project may now prepare the stage 3, developed sketch scheme.

609 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the extent of recent progress regarding the provision of extra facilities required at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare; when a decision on a possible commencement date in respect of the works involved will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has recently approved the invitation of tenders for the provision of extra facilities at Scoil Dara, Kilcock, County Kildare.

610 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the provision of extra facilities required at Rathmore national school, Naas, County Kildare; if the proposal is on schedule; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17312/01]

Architectural planning is progressing for the provision of a new eight classroom primary school at Rathmore, Naas, County Kildare. However, it is not as yet possible to give the timetable for the provision of the accommodation.

The school authorities will be kept informed of developments.
