120 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Education and Science if he is in receipt of an application from St. Conleth's vocational school in Newbridge, County Kildare, for the provision of a sports hall; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18213/01]
County Kildare vocational education committee has submitted an application to my Department for the provision of a PE hall at St. Conleth's vocational school, Newbridge, County Kildare.
My Department is currently preparing PE hall templates that will standardise the construction of PE halls at second level schools. These templates are being piloted in four schools initially. It is anticipated that the templates will be available for generic use later in the year, at which stage the matter of providing a PE hall at St. Conleth's vocational school will be determined.
