Question:

7 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Taoiseach the number of days lost through industrial disputes in 2000 and to date in 2001. [7122/01]

The latest statistics on industrial disputes were published by the CSO on 5 April 2001. The figures give the position up to the end of last year. A total of 97,046 days were lost in industrial disputes during 2000. This compares to 25,587 in 1999. Figures for the first quarter of this year will be available by the end of June.
