Written Answers. - Asgard Restoration Project.
In December 1999, the Asgard Restoration Project Limited, was granted a licence by the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands to restore the Asgard to seaworthy condition. However, the restoration work has not commenced mainly, I understand, because the private funding being sought by the ARP is not yet fully in place. I shall be meeting representatives of the ARP in the near future to review progress on the project generally.
