Question:

241 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will arrange to have a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim called for eye treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18658/01]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services for residents of County Leitrim rests with the North Western Health Board. My Department has asked the board's chief executive officer to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.

242 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for a cataract operation. [18690/01]

The provision of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the board's chief executive officer to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
