Vol. 539 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Willie Penrose

Question:

301 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if, further to parliamentary Question No. 333 of 15 May 2001, further progress has been made in relation to the policy to provide sewerage facilities in rural towns and villages; if the application by Westmeath County Council to have Castletown-Geoghan accepted as a pilot site for a proposed initiative in County Westmeath was approved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18726/01]

I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 322, 325, 333 and 334 of 15 May, 2001.

Tender documents for the pilot project are currently being prepared by the National Rural Water Monitoring Committee. Details of the selected locations will be announced in due course.
