Question:

305 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when work on Croagh sewerage scheme, County Limerick will commence. [18758/01]

This scheme has been approved for funding under the rural towns and villages initiative. I approved the contract documents for the scheme last month and it is now a matter for the Limerick County Council to proceed to tender stage.

306 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when a proposed updating of the sewerage scheme at Adare village, County Limerick, will be sanctioned and constructed. [18759/01]

Adare sewerage scheme is included in my Department's water services investment programme, 2000-02, to advance through planning. The submission of an updated preliminary report, which has been requested from Limerick County Council by the Department, is awaited.
