Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason the Garda barracks at Golden has not been refurbished or painted for many years; his views on whether it is in need of urgent repair and improvement; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the state of the barracks militates against the great efforts being made by the citizens of Golden in relation to the Tidy Towns competition; if he will now make arrangements to have the barracks upgraded as soon as possible; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
