Vol. 540 No. 1

Written Answers. - Meat and Bonemeal Storage.

John McGuinness

Question:

205 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he has completed his assessment of the proposals for the storage of meat and bone meal; if he received a proposal from a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and, if so, when a decision is likely in the case. [19849/01]

I am currently evaluating a number of proposals, including one received from the person concerned, in relation to the provision of storage facilities for meat and bone meal produced under the special purchase scheme for bovine animals established by Commission Regulation (EC) 690/2001. A decision will be made in the near future.
