467 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received an application for funding from the Castleknock Group of La Leche League of Ireland; if so, if he will make a decision on the matter; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21492/01]
The Castleknock Groups of La Leche League of Ireland along with a number of other La Leche groups and members have written to me concerning funding. The recently appointed National Breastfeeding Co-ordinator and officials from the Health Promotion Unit of my Department have arranged to meet with representatives of La Leche to discuss funding and other breastfeeding promotion issues.
