While the compulsory purchase order for this scheme was originally submitted by Mayo County Council to my Department, the functions of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government in relation to the determination of compulsory purchase orders have been transferred to An Bord Pleanala with effect from 1 January 2001. Inquiries in this matter should therefore be addressed to An Bord Pleanala.
