899 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the priority rating of Ballinrobe, County Mayo regarding the provision of a new Garda station; when he will permit this project to proceed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21837/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue):

I have been informed by the Office of Public Works that tender documentation is due for completion soon for the construction of a proposed new Garda station in

Ballinrobe. Subject to the availability of the necessary finance, that office expects to place a contract early in the New Year.
