Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

John Bruton

Question:

995 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the building of Ratoath national school; if tenders have been approved; when building work will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21064/01]

An advertisement was placed in the Official Journal of the European Communities, OJEC, on behalf of the board of management of Ratoath national school. This advertisement invited applications from interested architects for the design of the proposed new school and extension. My Department will be examining these applications and will be in touch with the board of management of Ratoath national school in due course.
