Vol. 541 No. 2

Written Answers. - Disabled Drivers.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

153 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason the report of the review of the disabled drivers scheme under the chairmanship of his Department is not available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21720/01]

Nora Owen

Question:

862 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has received a report from the review group established over three years ago to examine the operation of the relief system for disabled drivers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21167/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 153 and 862 together.

The report is not available because it has not yet been presented to the Minister for Finance. The draft report is at present under consideration by the representatives of the various Departments on the review group. As soon as these representatives have signed off on the report it will be presented to the Minister for Finance.
