1120 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Education and Science when the proposed extension to St. Colman's national school (details supplied) in County Galway will take place; if he will give an up to date assessment of the position; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22047/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods):

Architectural planning for the work at the school referred to by the Deputy is under way at present. It is not possible at this point to say when construction will commence. The school authorities will be informed of developments.
