Question:

199 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Education and Science if school transport arrangements for persons (details supplied) in County Cork attending Boherbue national school have been finalised. [22631/01]

My Department has requested a report from Bus Éireann regarding the pupils in question. The Deputy will be advised of the position as soon as the report is received and assessed.

Question:

200 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will instruct Bus Éireann to retain a bus service for persons (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22645/01]

My Department has been informed that the bus service in question is a private service and does not come under the school transport scheme. In the circumstances, neither my Department nor Bus Éireann has any function in the matter.
