Question:

60 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the total projected cost of all elements of Stadium and Sports Campus Ireland at the latest date for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22330/01]

I propose to take Questions

Nos. 11 and 60 together.

Following a Government decision on 1 May 2001, independent consultants, High-Point Rendel, were engaged to undertake an overview of the cost of the Stadium and Sports Campus Ireland project. I have not received any draft reports from the consultants since their appointment. As the steering group of senior officials overseeing the work hope to have their final meeting with the consultants within the next seven days, I am not expecting to receive the consultant's report until some time after that meeting. Until the steering group has submitted the report to me and Government has considered it I do not intend to make any statement on its contents.
