204 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the vacancies for legal personnel which exist in his Department or in any of the embassies; the steps which have been taken to fill such vacancies; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22748/01]

The position of deputy legal adviser in the Department of Foreign Affairs became temporarily vacant on 1 October when a member of staff availed of a career break. Arrangements to fill the post on a temporary basis are being made in consultation with the relevant staff interests.
