Vol. 541 No. 4

Written Answers. - Health Board Properties.

John McGuinness

Question:

283 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the status of plans by the South-Eastern Health Board to close and relocate the facility known as Crannóg, Cedarwood Avenue, Loughboy, Kilkenny; if another property has been acquired; and if the commitment given to local residents five years ago will now be honoured. [22728/01]

I have been informed that the South-Eastern Health Board has purchased another property in Callan, County Kilkenny, and is currently reviewing tenders for the necessary renovations. When the contract has been awarded and the timetable agreed I understand that the board will then contact the local residents in Cedarwood Avenue and advise them of the planned timetable and proposals for the alternative use of the existing facility.
