Question:350 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the Srah to Westport water scheme; and when this scheme will be sanctioned. [23160/01]
Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
The extension of the Lough Mask regional water supply scheme from Shrah to Westport is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme, 2000-2002, to advance through planning. I approved a revised brief for the appointment of consultants to prepare a design report and contract documents for the scheme in November 2000. The submission of this report and documents by Mayo County Council is now awaited.
