Vol. 541 No. 4

Written Answers. - DIT Students.

Austin Currie

Question:

462 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to problems at Dublin Institute of Technology, Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1; the steps he will take to ensure these students will be able to recommence their studies immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22798/01]

The Dublin Institute of Technology is a statutory body established under the Dublin Institute of Technology Act, 1992. The governance and day to day activities of the institute are matters for which the governing body and the management staff of the institute are responsible. I have had inquiries made with the Dublin Institute of Technology on the matter and I am advised that the problems referred to by the Deputy have been addressed.
