Vol. 542 No. 2

Written Answers. - Bullying in the Workplace

Willie Penrose

Question:

229 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the complaints and investigative procedure within his Department for carrying out investigations where allegations of bullying or harassment are made; the duration of such investigations; when findings are issued; the further steps which can be taken by the complainant; if there are avenues of appeal against the preliminary findings; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23840/01]

There is a standard code of practice in place within the Civil Service with regard to bullying and harassment. I am arranging for a copy of "A Positive Working Environment – An Anti Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Bullying Policy for the Civil Service" to be forwarded to the Deputy.
