Question:

272 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Finance if funding has been allocated to Arklow Urban District Council to engage consultants to carry out a survey of necessary flood relief works; if so, the details of the funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23773/01]

The Commissioners of Public Works wrote to the town clerk of Arklow Urban District Council in August 2001 confirming that they have allocated an amount of £107,578 to the UDC to pay for an updated report on flooding in Arklow.
