Vol. 542 No. 2

Written Answers. - Physiotherapy Services.

Bernard Allen

Question:

312 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people awaiting physiotherapy services in the Southern Health Board area in Cork city, Cork county and Kerry; the average length of time they have been waiting; and the way in which this compares to the waiting time of private patients. [23973/01]

Data on physiotherapy services is not routinely collected by my Department. The provision of physiotherapy services, in this instance, is a matter for the Southern Health Board. I have, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to look into the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
