Question:

316 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of breast cancer procedures carried out at Cork University Hospital in each of the past two years. [23977/01]

The information requested by the Deputy is set out below. The data are derived from the hospital in-patient enquiry – HIPE – system which captures information on all discharges from publicly-funded acute hospitals. The figures for the year 2000 are provisional.
