Vol. 542 No. 2

Written Answers. - Garda Deployment.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

460 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the towns and villages having a population of up to 10,000 and a garda strength of less than 12; the towns and villages with such population which have a garda strength of more than 12; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23994/01]

I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of personnel and resources to individual areas, that the information requested by the Deputy is not readily available and could be compiled only by using a disproportionate amount of staff time and resources.
